The spa town of Bad Gastein has been a major tourist destination since the 19th century. It has hosted queens and emperors and proven itself as a past OVSC trip. It has impressive waterfalls 2-3 minutes from our hotel and a casino a short walk in the other direction. There are shops and shuttles just outside the door. Our 2009 Austria package will include round trip air to Munich and transfers on a private coach with an English-speaking assistant to Bad Gastein. We will stay 7 nights in a 4-star hotel with included use of an exceptional hotel Wellness Center. 14 breakfasts and dinners are included! We will also have a local guide, tour operator and 24-hour emergency contact. Our Base Trip Price is $1669.00 plus departure taxes and fuel surcharge based on double occupancy.
Bad Gastein is situated in the middle of a National Park at 1000 meters above sea level in fresh mountain air. It is surrounded by ski areas, all of which are connected by 48 lifts or free shuttles. 200 km of runs appeal to all levels. The longest vertical drop is about 5000 feet and the longest run is 7.8 km. With a full 600” average annual snowfal, this region has one of the the best snow guarantees in Austria and it has snowmaking equipment to back it up.
There’s more! We have added a welcome party and town parade to this package! We will also have a variety of optional day tours for non-skiers and those who would like to tour. In addition, present international regulations still allow 2 free checked bags, two meals, and even complimentary drinks.
We have 4 wonderful optional day tours planned: Innsbruck, Austria for Skiing and Touring; Salzburg, Austria for Sightseeing including scenes from the “Sound of Music” Movie; Venice, Italy with an unforgettable gondola ride along the canals; and Kitbuhel, Austria for Skiing on an Olympic Downhill Run or Shopping.
